“I will make with them an everlasting covenant, that I will not turn away from doing good to them. And I will put the fear of me in their hearts, that they may not turn from me. I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul.“
Is that not nuts? To have God say He absolutely will not stop doing good to His people, that He delights in doing them good, that He’ll pursue doing them good with His infinite heart and infinite soul? It’s almost unbelievable.
How about this one…
“Can you bind the chains of the Pleaides or loose the cords of Orion? Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season, or can you guide the Bear with its children?”
(Job 38:31-32, part of one of my favorite chapters in the Bible)
You read that right–God is talking about controlling stars, moving them, willing them to be where they are and to dance across our sky. Insane.
Have you read anything in the Bible lately that makes your jaw drop?
