Life Groups
Why have Life Groups?
God made us relational beings and created us to live in a community with one another. God’s purposes in our lives are not just fulfilled through a vertical relationship with Him, but through horizontal relationships with other people.
When Jesus was asked which is the most important commandment, he said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength. The second is this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.” (Mark 12:28-31) Our Life Groups provide the opportunity to connect our hearts and lives, creating the friendships that hold the church together. (Colossians 2:2)
Why is this important?
Discipleship doesn’t only happen in a structured environment or by going through a series of Bible studies. It also happens while “doing life” and having fun together – any time, anywhere, any way we are connecting with people with the intention of loving and encouraging one another, of speaking truth into one another’s lives, and helping each to move one step further in our relationship with Christ. This means that our God-given passions and talents can be used to build bridges to other people, regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey.
How do I join a Life Group?
Sign up sheets will be in the church foyer when new life groups start up. Sign up for the group(s) you’re interested in, then just show up and get involved. Some life groups don’t require signing up. Please see information posted in the church foyer or on this page as new life groups are going on.
What Life Groups are available?
